Ideally I'd like both inputs to be active full-time, rather than having to switch back and forth, but hitting a button certainly isn't a dealbreaker. Further, apparently it's totally impossible to adjust the output volume on a Roku, and the default setting is very high compared to my SFF box, so I've had to crank the volume there to the breaking point, which is also a little annoying.Īs I understand it, the usual piece of hardware to answer this need is a receiver, but those start in the hundreds of dollars, which seems insane when what I really want is barely more than a headphone splitter turned backwards.ġ. But now it's sharing space with my romantic associate's Roku, and switching the cable back and forth has become annoying. ![]() In days of yore, my living room SFF box plugged straight into that and all was well. In my living room, I have a nice set of speakers with a criminally-cheap but entirely functional amp. ![]()
